West Roofing Systems is looking for an experienced, highly-motivated individual for our Single-Ply Membrane Foreman position.


Qualities desired include, but are not limited to:

  • Erect and dismantle temporary safety barricades, walls, cones, tape, fences and other safety equipment
  • Must be able to travel and be out of town for a short period of time
  • Motivation to uphold the Safety Culture the company has created along with the ability to report to work on time consistently
  • Mobility and strength to work in a typical construction site setting
  • Mindset to work as part of a team, with laborers, foreman and supervisors daily, and
  • Prior construction and/or roofing experience
  • Capable of performing a roof takeoff and procuring the required materials to complete the task at hand
  • Estimating experience is preferred

Seasonal Roofer/Laborer/Service Crew Member - Alabama

West Roofing Systems, a commercial roofing company, is looking for driven candidates to join our team as seasonal workers for our Production and Service crews.


Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform demolition, roofing and other construction tasks
• Operate hand and power tools of all types
• Clean and prepare job sites and clear work areas
• Carry construction materials
• Load and unload equipment
• Erect and dismantle temporary safety barricades, walls, cones, tape, fences and other safety equipment
• Clean up waste and debris
• Help promote the safety culture of the company
• Work as a team with other laborers, foreman, project managers, and subcontractors

Maintenance Technician - Ohio

West Roofing Systems, Inc. is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician with high energy and initiative to fill a key role within our Maintenance Team. The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing diversified duties including install, tear-off, troubleshoot, repair and maintain different roofing systems according to safety, quality and maintenance standards.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work with crew to complete all aspects of jobs assigned by West Roofing Systems, Inc., (WRS) including tear-off, repairs, installation, and other jobs as assigned
  • Perform duties assigned by the service manager, foreman or crew leader
  • Arrive on time for your shift and be ready to go at the assigned time with all required tools, equipment and PPE
  • Work safely
  • Assist in setup and tear down of safety equipment as assigned
  • Comply with all job-site safety requirements including PPE, fall protection, respirator, etc.
  • Report any safety concerns immediately
  • Participate in training
  • Participate in weekly safety meetings
  • Attend all WRS training events
  • Participate in manufacturer system specific training
  • Participate in all other training as assigned
  • Deliver excellent quality and customer satisfaction
  • Perform work according to WRS standards
  • Work as a team with other laborers, foreman, project managers, and subcontractors
  • Mentor new or less experienced crew members.
  • Provide daily notes/status updates to Service Manager
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned



Human Resources Generalist - Ohio

West Roofing Systems, Inc. is looking for a talented and proven Human Resources Generalist with high energy and initiative to fill a key role within our Leadership Team. This position will report to the CEO and will be dotted-lined to the Controller/Office Manager. The HR Generalist is responsible for implementing HR policies & programs as well as managing the entire employee life-cycle. The HR Generalist will manage all aspects of the Human Resource function including staffing and recruiting, compensation, benefits administration, employee relations, payroll, OSHA compliance, safety, workers’ compensation, training, employee communications and ensuring legal compliance. This position will also backup other administrative tasks. The HR Generalist will be resourceful, proactive and have excellent leadership skills.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Supports an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, team-work andhigh performance.
  • Reviews and makes recommendations to the CEO for improvement of company’s employee policies, procedures, practices andprograms.
  • Partners directly with department managers providing coaching on employee relation issues.
  • Implements HR policies and procedures.
  • Manages and oversees the new hire and onboarding processes, including reviewing resumes/applications, interviewing, scheduling drug testing, fingerprinting, DOT and spirometry testing, completion of new hire paperwork, safety training, employee and medical files, and new hire orientation including reviewing benefits, employee handbook, 401(k) and insurance (if eligible).
  • Establishes effective recruitment and onboarding practices and procedures.
  • Creates and maintains job descriptions for all positions.
  • Develops and implements compensation strategies that align with company goals.
  • Enters, maintains and ensures the accuracy of all employee data including new hires, terminations, pay changes, etc.
  • Assists employees with payroll-related questions.
  • Creates 401(k) accounts, processes 401(k) loans, balances payroll deductions including child support, garnishments, wage withholdings, etc. and monitors the status of employee 401(k) loans/advances, to ensure payments are current.
  • Conducts exit interviews, tracks trends, and makes changes as needed.
  • Prepares, audits and monitors Affirmative Action Plans.
  • Administers benefits including renewing and negotiating health insurance policy to look for affordable full coverage, processing claims, processing COBRA, processing short and long-term disability, and processing balance deductions monthly.
  • Administers benefit enrollments and billings including medical, dental, vision, life, and 401K.
  • Manages, renews and audits life, general liability, and vehicle insurances policies.
  • Ensures compliance with WRS policies, procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Processes Workers’ Compensation insurance for Ohio and other states requiring WRS to carry their Workers’ Compensation
  • Monitors and manages all aspects of the drug-free workplace program
