Efforts WRS is taking to stop the spread

    • Regarding transportation to the job sites, WRS will be encouraging employees to meet at the job sites rather than traveling with multiple people in the company vehicles.  We know this will not work in every situation but are trying to reduce the number of occupants in each vehicle to the extent possible.

    • Every roofing job going forward will have its own portable toilet/sanitation station, so our roofers will not have to use/enter your facilities. The portable toilet is equipped with sanitation wipes and soap and water to disinfect roofers’ hands before going back onto your building.

    • Following all the recommendations from the CDC and others to keep the workplace as clean as possible.

    • Providing temporary remote work for office personnel. This is an effort to expand on social distancing between employees.

    • Temperature checks of all workers with a temporal thermometer at all WRS facilities before the employee begins work. If an employee has a temperature above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, then they are to be sent home immediately; Each site will have a designated person assigned to monitor the employees use of the temporal thermometer along with asking a series of questions recommended by the CDC that will asked every day prior to working.

    • Practice the recommended 6-foot social distancing recommended by the CDC, including breaks, unless the work being performed requires multiple individuals for the safety of the workers;

    • Do not use a common water cooler.

    • Water bottles are available.

    • Bleach water (5% bleach solution) and paper towels will be available in each truck to sanitize the commonly touched surfaces of the vehicle.

    • Refrain from sharing hand tools as much as possible. If tools are shared, sanitize after each individual’s use.

    • Glove Policy – only use nitrile gloves when handling chemicals. Use mechanic gloves and cotton gloves for general purpose work.

  • Best Practice of hand-washing for at least 20 seconds for workers during the following:
    • Before workers begin work
    • After workers remove gloves
    • Before and after the use of shared items such as tools or multi-user devices
    • Before and after any meal or restroom break
    • After a worker’s shift or work time ends
    • Handwashing stations will be made available at each job site
    • Company required breaks for washing hands throughout the day

Director’s “Stay at Home Order”

We have carefully reviewed the language of “Essential Work or Activity” and determined that the work we have scheduled in the coming weeks is by definition, “Essential” and/or supports the activities of “Essential” businesses.

Financing

We understand that financing may be an issue during these tough times. But lets talk about it!

Perhaps we can extend terms or come up with a different arrangement that can benefit both of us.

We can push through these tough times by keeping people working and by keeping buildings leak-free so there’s no further business interruptions.
